Hubby at Sleep Clinic

Brian is at the hospital sleeping with all this junk attached to him tonight.  He has been snoring like crazy for several months now and I asked him to go.  Now I am feeling guilty.   Even though I have been in more uncomfortable situations sleeping in a hospital, I still feel bad.

Rob is going to Created By God at our church this weekend.  He will be learning all about "the facts of life."  It should be interesting.  I can't believe I have a kid old enough for this, but I am glad our church cares enough to spend a whole weekend educating our kids.

Getting sleepy.....hopefully Brian is snoring away!!

Girls Rule

We started our weekend out by going to a great 40th birthday party for a friend.  We danced until the guy with the guitar quit for the night.  We laughed so much at ourselves and acted very stupid.  It was a blast.

On Saturday Clara played 3 basketball games back to back.  She is playing on an all girl basketball team with some of her best softball friends.  They played mostly all boy teams.  There was one other all girl team in the league.  Needless to say they ended up winning the whole age group.  It was awesome.  We enjoyed watching the Daddies of the boys when we played them.  They couldn't stand it.  The mother's of the boys thought it was cool though.  The last team we played was overheard saying "This is the girl team, they will be easy."  Famous last words.....  These boys learned a valuable life lesson this weekend.  Never underestimate a woman!!  Clara did not make a shot in the first two games, and I told her to keep shooting because the law of averages she will start making them.  She made 6 points in that game.  The best part was she came over, across the court after she made the first shot and said I was right.  Clara is extremely independent and does not ever consult me about sports, so I felt very special at that moment.

Rob had a basketball game that they lost in overtime, but it was a super game too.  Lewis and I were just along for the ride.  We enjoyed the beautiful weather and the kids had their first baseball and softball practices.  Clara gave me a pedicure last night too, a lot cheaper than the nail places.  We also watched Toddlers and Tiara's, that is crazy stuff.   The craziest part is the money these people spend, and most look like they don't have it to spend.  We have our own kind of crazy around here, but I hope it is a little more normal.

Finally got a North Face

I have been wanting a North Face fuzzy jacket all winter.  My kids all have one but I have been too cheap to bite the bullet and get one for me.  Today I did, I found one for $99.00 that I love.  It is white, fluffy and cozy.  I shouldn't have waited this long.  I know I will use it a bunch this spring though at the ball park.  I also found two pairs of waterproof shoes with tennis shoe bottom, I love waterproof shoes!!  They are the best for all the time I spend at the ball park.  I bought Keens last summer these are Salomon's (for 30 bucks).

I got the sweetest note from our vet about Mary today.  So touching that she would care so much.   Watching some of the winter olympics, snowboarding is amazing!!   My six year old is completely obsessed with his ipod touch and so is his sister.  She is saving her money for one.   Haven't watched Lost yet, I hope it was better than last week.  Big Love was so good this week.  I love the new Nicki.

My first blog

I have been wanting to start a blog for a while now.....so here it goes.  Last week was a tough week.  We put our dog of 15 1/2 years to sleep on Thursday.  It was so sad and peaceful at the same time.  She had gotten so disoriented and was not able to walk most of the time.  We have had her since we were first married and she was such a great dog.  She was the puppy of my parent's dog and she was born while we were planning our wedding.  So her name was Marry Sunshine Fuller.   I miss her: her bark at night, her greeting in the morning, and her constant presence.  Best dog ever.

We have been getting so much snow lately, frequency not inches, such beautiful large flakes.  It was a perfect distraction on Friday after losing Marry.
